Real Claw Jewelry

My claw jewelry line features real claws from American Black Bear (Ursus americanus), and North American Cougar (Puma concolor couguar). They are legally and ethically sourced. Hunting is a big part of the culture here in Montana and respecting the state and federal laws ensures that we have a healthy wildlife population now and in the future. Some of the claws come from hunters who don't have a use for them, others are reclaimed from old rugs/hides. The animals are never hunted for the purpose of obtaining their claws.

I spend significant time polishing these claws to bring out their best qualities. They truly are a work of art on their own and I do my best to add embellishments that add to their quality and will make them a long lasting keepsake. 

I believe when we carry animal parts with us we are welcoming the spirit and symbolism of that animal into our life; embodying the strengths of that animal requires respecting and honoring it.
